Jun 10, 2008 Media disconnected when trying ipconfig/renew. Windows 7 As in the title, when trying to renew my ip the media is disconnected and says the action can't happen. Frustrating because I'm trying to fix a shotty internet connection that just started occurring two days ago where it displays a connection but there is no access, Skype can't connect, nothing. Anyway, using windows 7 ultimate on a custom pc. (Solved) - Can only get local connection but still no Well that looks ok to me. Maybe someone else will see something. Without me going through each one and reiterating it here, simply google Local Access only and read through some of them, trying the ones you can understand. But, as I said earlier I had a computer with this problem recently and was only able to solve it by reloading the operating system. Laptop no longer recognizes available wireless connections

Sep 10, 2013 · Long story short, I was having a bunch of stupid internet troubles with my router, I tried going on the internet directly through the modem to look up solutions and I ended up being lead to believe that typing "ipconfig /release" and then "ipconfig /renew" into cmd.exe may help.
