Feb 07, 2012 · The VPN worked fine on Verizon Mobile Hot Spot. Didn't work on the user's home Comcast until I enabled the PPTP passthrough. I have Comast at home as well, but my modem is about 6 years old. When I set up a VPN from 192.168.1.101 to the server 192.168.1.2 it works great asks for user name and password and lets me right in. When I check the server it has assigned the VPN as 192.168.1.200. Open these ports 1723, 500 TCP protocol. and add a trigger for port 500 and 10000 (if your dsl supports this), but basicly you should not have to open any port, it sounds more like a problem between WRT54G and the Speedstream where the Speedstream is not passing everything to the WRT54G. I cannot connect to my work VPN using my laptop (Toshiba U500 running Win XP Pro SP3). I can connect using any other machine. I have ruled out a problem with my VPN server, as I can connect using both my user account and others, tested from several different pc's, located on 3 different networks in 3 different physical locations.
